Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions made must reflect original, unpublished work and be clear, concise, coherent and easily understandable to a layman. They should have informative titles and provide relevant background information wherever necessary to make it accessible to readers. Posts will be screened for plagiarism. Co-authorship is permitted for up to a maximum of two authors.
  • Submissions should be between 800-1500 (eight hundred to fifteen hundred) words in length. Authors should stick to the English language and wherever statements have been made in other languages, an adequate translation should be provided.
  • References must be in the form of hyperlinks to relevant legal sources and background information, including any judgments, legislations, treaties or other legal texts which are mentioned. Hyperlinks must link only to legal or reputed news sources. Endnotes should also be provided and we do not accept footnotes.
  • The content must be written in Times New Roman in font size 12 (twelve) with a line spacing of 1.5 (one point five), with left alignment.

Please email your submission to us at (email Id) with “Submission for Brief Law Blogs” in the subject line, and author details in the body of the email. The draft post must be attached in MS word (.doc/.docx) format only.

Incentives to the authors

  • A certificate of appreciation will be provided to the shortlisted people.
  • All selected will get credit or recognition on the website.

Copyright Policy

In submitting a post to us, the author(s) undertake(s) that it is their original work. The copyright of the posts published on our Blog shall continue to vest with the author. However, by submitting a post to us, the author provides the Brief Law with an exclusive licence to publish the post.
